FOR INFANTS & YOUNG CHILDREN
"PLAY IS OFTEN TALKED ABOUT AS IF IT WERE A RELIEF FROM SERIOUS LEARNING. BUT FOR CHILDREN, PLAY IS SERIOUS LEARNING."
~Fred Rogers
Occupational Therapy can help kids with various needs improve their cognitive, physical, sensory, and motor skills and enhance their self-esteem and sense of accomplishment. Following an initial assessment and before initiating services, child and family centered goals will be developed, and a recommendation for frequency and duration of services is agreed upon. Quality interventions can be delivered in the privacy and comfort of your home, a community setting — such as day care or preschool — or your child’s natural environment. Supportive handouts and educational materials will also be provided as resources to empower caregivers to promote the infant or young child’s skills.
